A few weeks ago I had the pleasure if shooting a video for the Crocker Art Museum of Bay Area artist Mel Ramos. I spent about 3 hours at his studio in the lower part of his home in Oakland. The video is more of a conversation, with Mel telling some great stories like when he, Wayne Thiebaud and their wives drove to New York to find a gallery. Mel will have a 50 year retrospective at the Crocker opening June 2. The video is in the approval process, but I'll post a link as soon as it's on the Crocker site.

Having a good time filling my sketchbook. In the past I'd use it for ideas, but I've been trying to just use this sketchbook for completed drawings. Whatever happens is fine with me so you can definitely see the changes. Gave away 10 drawings today. It started out as the first 5, then I upped it to 10. It was fun and nice to find some new homes for my work. I plan to do it again if you're interested.
