I have a show at Jay Jay's in Sacramento with artist Julia Couzens in September. These are a couple that I need to complete.

My wife Heather has been on my ass to apply for artist residencies since October 2016, so I did, with no anticipation other than it would be a great opportunity to self explore, be immersive in new work and ideas and connect with other artists.

As a parent, spouse and a full time artist, life can be a difficult juggle not only in the real world, but also mentally. I am so blessed to have a supportive wife who believes in my work and fosters what fuels me. Today I received a call that reinforces what Heather has said many times to my shrugs, ha!. "Cast a net wide and see what you catch!"

In January 2018 I'll be heading to Omaha, Nebraska to participate in the Bemis Artist Residency Program. I am honored to be in the company of some amazing artists.
